Every Christian should meditate and dwell on Scripture. But the below passage especially should be one of the keystones of our Scripture memorization. It’s definitely one of the steaks of Scripture so to speak. To summarize the previous posts in Ephesians, I would say this: We see the inheritance of God given, the predestination of God explained, the gospel of God proclaimed, the sealing of the Spirit applied, and all for this purpose: to the praise of the glory of God’s grace in Christ. Let’s dig further…

The Christian’s Inheritance

Have you ever seen something so amazing that all you can do is stop, stand, and stare? The mountains of Georgia have done that to me. I’ll never forget the reaction I had when I first saw them. My wife and I parked our car on the side of some road and looked over a canyon and saw a huge waterfall flowing into massive rock formations, and all kinds of trees everywhere. Words fail to do justice to that sight. I remember the greatness of those mountains and how they revealed the reality of how small I am. The Character of King David (Part 1)

King DavidOne of the most popular biblical characters is King David. But who was David really? Many know if asked that he was one of the great Kings of Israel, he was the man who conquered Goliath, the father of King Solomon, the wisest one to walk this earth (aside from Jesus), but perhaps the greatest thing said of David in the Bible is when God says, “I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will” (Acts 13:22). To have this said of David deserves great study, because as Christians, our greatest desire is to be found as people who are after the heart of God, who make it our aim to please him (2 Cor. 5:9). So what is it about David’s character that made him a man after God’s heart?
